Description

This plugin is designed by the WordPress experts at Bluehost, one of the world’s top WordPress providers. It was created to make migration easier and faster by only requiring you to install this plugin and follow the simple steps. Once you’ve completed your compatibility check, this plugin will create a secure copy of your website and begin the transfer to your Bluehost hosting account.

Important: You will need a Bluehost hosting account for this plugin to complete the migration. It is not intended for migrations to other hosting providers.

Installation

Install the plugin by clicking Add New on the Plugins screen in your WordPress admin, then searching for “Bluehost Site Migrator”.
Activate the plugin.
Click on the “Site Migrator” link on the left-hand menu in the WordPress admin to get started!

This plugin seemed to work great. It did it's thing and made a package of my site somewhere. Then you go to your bluehost server and click migrate site, put in the URL and transfer key... and it gives you an error with the support telephone number. I called the number and the support tech told me "that rarely works for so many reasons".... wow, guess this simple wordpress site will have to be transferred another way. Tried this plugin with 3 different sites, all with the same experience. It just doesn't work at all

Don't bother, it doesn't work. I followed the instructions exactly. Three hours after starting the process, I was still staring at the "Cloning your website" screen, wondering if it would ever finish packaging the uploads and start transferring my website. I can't tell you if it did or not because I have to leave for work. What a waste of time.

Bluehost is the worst hosting I've seen in my life, I paid for three years, used it for 6 months, the site went down and they couldn't restore it. They can't solve the problem, they don't refund the money. When you see the name Bluehost, run away. dfx.uuk.mybluehost.me – this is my main domain on Bluehost (so that Bluehost employees do not write that my review is anonymous).

Seems to be like everyone else says...stuck on "packaging dropins" for the past few hours. Bluehost support said to use another method. So I guess it doesn't work.
